Bookmarking – is a method to keep your favorite web URLs you want to visit in the future.
Social Bookmarking is a link-building strategy through which people can save bookmarks to a public website along with tags and relevant categories. You can share these bookmarks with your friends and designate bookmarks with public and private.
Nowadays the effectiveness of social bookmarking is reduced from the past days as spamming is increased on social bookmark submission websites, but still, it is a good technique to drive traffic, reach your target audiences and increase brand awareness. It doesn’t help directly to improve keywords ranking organically as generally, these links are no-followed, but it improves site reputation and importance in some ways.
